Los Arcos de Hermano Resort in Bulacan

What’s there to do in Bulacan? A lot, especially when you’re at Los Arcos de Hermano.

Starting its initial operation in March 2012, Los Arcos is known as one of the newest and most sought-after resort and events venue in the city of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. The resort has numerous and different facilities, making it an ideal choice for team-building activities, family outings, weddings and pre-nuptial pictorials, or just a quick out-of-town getaway.

Swimming Pools

Imagine waking up to this everyday. At least for one day, I got the chance to have this as my view as soon as I woke up and stepped out of my room. Looking at these beautiful (and mind you, unedited!) photos will make one wonder if this is really in Bulacan. Tell me that isn’t a gorgeous sight!
Los Arcos de Hermano takes pride in having the biggest infinity pool in San Jose del Monte. Expect the ultimate sense of relaxation when you’re in this pool area. Because it’s surrounded by trees and plants, it looks even more breathtaking. I sat here at around 6:00 in the morning, just a little after sunrise, and I was quite content doing nothing but reveling in the tranquility of the water, the greenery surrounding it, and the sun’s warmth.
The little ones can have fun wading in the kiddie pool, which is just across the infinity pool.
These cartoon character statues surround the kiddie pool area, making it more fun and child-friendly.

Los Arcos also has a private pool (above) which is on the side of one of the most coveted venues in the resort.

Some couples would hold their intimate weddings here because it’s close to a small chapel and it offers a serene ambiance.

Event Venues

In their first year of operation, Los Arcos de Hermano has already successfully housed 50 different types of events and served thousands of satisfied guests. They have 5 event venues inside the resort that can accommodate different kinds of celebrations.

1. Francisco Hall

This very spacious and fully air-conditioned hall can accommodate up to 200 guests. When I stepped inside, though, it looked like it could accommodate more than 200. It’s the first event hall when you enter the resort gate so you won’t miss it.

2. Ng Lio Hall

Smaller than the Francisco Hall but still quite roomy is the Ng Lio Hall, which is the perfect venue for intimate celebrations and corporate events for 80 to 100 persons. All the event halls are named after the co-owners of Los Arcos de Hermano, and the night that we arrived, we were welcomed by one of the owners, Ms. Cheena Ng Lio, who happens to be a couturier, fashion designer, celebrity stylist, and entrepreneur for made to order formalwear.

3. Remedios Hall
For small group activities like retreats, meetings, and seminars, the Remedios Hall is the most ideal venue. On the second floor of the hall is a dormitory with bunk beds and separate bathrooms for male and female guests.

4. Erlinda Hermano Hall
The Erlinda Hermano Hall is good for up to 100 persons. It’s not enclosed and air-conditioned, but it’s covered so guests who want to hold their event here need not worry should it rain.

5. Paradise Garden
If you’re looking for a romantic and intimate garden wedding in Bulacan, you might want to check out Paradise Garden. It even has its own gazebo and small chapel, plus a grassy area beside a pool. This venue is also popular for children’s parties, reunions, baptisms, and corporate events.

Accommodations

My roommate Jayme and I stayed in a quadruple room with a veranda outside. Here are the photos:

I thought all along that we were in a twin room and not a quadruple room! The beds could fit two small people but if two people with a bigger built slept on the bed, there wouldn’t be much space to move. The rooms were clean and spacious, though. During the day, though, if you are staying at the poolside, it might be hard to sleep and relax because you will definitely hear the noise from outside. especially if there are screaming children or people belting out karaoke songs (just like what we were doing the night before!)
Here are more of their other room types including their rates:

A few things to note if you are staying here:

  • Towels, toothbrush kits, and slippers are provided
  • Bring a sweater as it can be a little cold
  • Wi-fi signal is not so good, which is probably a blessing in disguise if you’re there for some “me time” or a quick escape
  • Rooms don’t come with free breakfast, although there is a concessionaire inside the resort where you can grab some food
  • Load up on snacks so that you have something to munch on when you get hungry at night. There are no stores inside the resort where you can buy food, and it’s too dark at night to even go out. I got ZERO sleep because my stomach was rumbling. And then I found out the next day that there was a nearby Jollibee that can deliver food inside the resort. Pfft.

Fun Things To Do At Los Arcos de Hermano

Lying in a spacious 5-hectare lot of lush greens, there is a lot to explore in the resort. Here are some suggested activities that you can do when in Los Arcos de Hermano:
Go on a team building…
… just make sure you don’t disturb the surly-looking carabao!
Walk around the greenery and enjoy nature
Read a book or write on your journal under these trees
Go fishing
Play like a little child
Contemplate on the meaning of life (dramatic song optional)
Have a photo taken with The Hulk…
…and Thor.
Pick grapefruit fruits from the trees
Chase some ducks (or be chased by them)
Play with this cute little bunny named Mia
Meditate and be still
Roll around the grass.
Have a little photo shoot
Who knew that just an hour away from the city is a haven that offers serenity and enjoyment? If you want to relax but you don’t want to go too far, a day trip or an overnight stay at Los Arcos de Hermano might do you good. I would recommend this for families who just want to go out and have a good time, busy individuals who are craving some placidity, and engaged couples who are looking for a pre-nup photo shoot location or a venue in Bulacan to have a wedding close to nature.
