All weddings are beautiful, but Eugenel and Elaine’s wedding was just all sorts of stunning! Where do I even begin? How about we start with the stylish groom with the smoking smolder of Tangled’s Flynn Rider? (By the way, Flynn’s real name is Eugene, and the groom’s name is Eugenel!) The bride is unquestionably one of the sexiest and most gorgeous brides I have ever seen to this day. Her exquisite features and feminine curves are even more accentuated by that jaw-dropping Edward Teng gown with a detachable skirt and bejeweled with dazzling crystals. Elaine paired this with glittery Loubotins, which just goes to show that this woman isn’t afraid to sparkle and shine! As if all that beauty isn’t enough, they also became one at the majestic Palazzo Verde (formerly Fernbrook Gardens) in Alabang. Right after the ceremony, the beautiful couple enjoyed a romantic Venetian gondola ride at the Palazzo Verde Grand Canal. This wedding is just so swoon-worthy!
I only got to meet Eugenel and Elaine on their big day. Someone else was supposed to host their wedding reception, but she had to beg off due to other commitments so I filled in for her. I had only been advised of the wedding the day before so there was no more time for introductions. I arrived at the wedding venue, knowing nothing about this couple, except for the fact that they looked amazing and they looked great together. Just by looking at them, though, it was easy to see that they were meant to be. I didn’t know what it was, but there was something about the way they looked at each other, held each other, and laughed with each other that made me think to myself, “These two are going to have a great life together!”
I hosted their wedding reception together with Ramon Bautista, a Filipino actor, radio DJ, TV show host, and comedian. At that time, I was still a neophyte in the wedding hosting industry, and I will admit that I accepted this gig because sharing the stage with a huge public figure would look great on my resumé. But as we started gabbing onstage, I quickly forgot that I was co-hosting with a prominent entertainer because that thought was quickly replaced by the great fun I was having while entertaining the lovely couple and their guests. The wedding, like I said, is stunning and elegant in more ways than one. But more than anything, it was really just one big celebration of laughter! Everyone was down for anything. The couple was also so relaxed, calm, and friendly, which made it easy for everyone in the room — including us hosts — to just be ourselves and have a great time! And this, I think, is what made this wedding even more beautiful.
I mentioned earlier that the first time I saw Eugenel and Elaine together, I had a feeling that they would have a happy life together, and I was right! Since their wedding, they have gone on many adventures together, including the biggest one of all: having an adorable little boy named Euan Atticus!
