Breastfeeding is HARD WORK! You are at your baby’s beck and call — it doesn’t matter where you are, what you’re doing, or what time of day it is. You just have to be ready to feed, pronto! And then there’s an endless list of things to worry about. Sore nipples. Mastitis. Low milk supply. The list goes on and on. Breastfeeding is beautiful, but it can be a grueling task!
Ask any mom why they breastfeed and they’ll tell you this: they willingly put in the work because they want nothing but the best for their kids. For all their sacrifices and selflessness, they really deserve to treat themselves once in a while.
As a breastfeeding mom, I like to reward myself every now and then. Most of the time, I do it with good food, particularly, with lactation goodies. I can’t live without desserts, so might as well have desserts that will help me make more milk, right?
One of the lactation goodies that I’ve tried is LATCH Lactation Treats. This recently opened home-based business is the brainchild of a nursing mom who wanted to help her fellow breastfeeding mothers increase their milk supply while “treating” themselves for all their hard work.
LATCH claims that “Our treats are made of quality ingredients (and baked with love) to ensure that every mama gets their money’s worth, because we believe that THE BEST (that’s you, mama!) only deserves the best.”
We breastfeeding moms are really very lucky that delicious lactation treats are now readily available to us. I myself am very thankful because now that Andi is growing, her appetite is growing as well. Sometimes she latches on to me for what feels like forever. And oftentimes, I feed her, and then after a few minutes, she wants to drink milk again! It’s like she’s constantly hungry! I really feel the need to keep up with her appetite, and lactation treats help me do just that.
I’ve tried a couple of lactation treats and Latch stood out to me (and Mike. Yes, he eats my lactation cookies!) because it was delicious but not too sweet. I’d say these treats are perfect for those who want to satisfy their sweet tooth while keeping their sugar intake at a minimum. I also appreciate that Latch customizes their goodies according to your personal preference and dietary requirements. So if you have any allergies, simply let them know and they will tweak their recipe for you. The seller is very accommodating too!
Here is the current line-up and price list of Latch:
