A lot of people will tell you to “dress your age.” That means that as you get older, you should opt for clothes that are more suitable (translation: “appropriate”) to how old or young you are.
In a way, the idea of age-appropriate dressing makes sense. Admit it, it’s not too aesthetically pleasing to see a grandma in a hot pink leather mini skirt, is it? But while dressing your age will always be classy, age really is just a number and that you can never be too old or too young to have a bit of fun with fashion.
Sometimes, I feel like I’m only 13 and not 30 in terms of my fashion sense. I sometimes dress like a teenager because… well, why not? It also helps that I have a 14-year old sister because we borrow each other’s clothes once in a while.
Today, my sister Alexa Ilacad and I wore a pair of identical leggings with the face of Tweety printed on them. What do you think of this TWEETYFIED look?
Wearing this getup made me think of my childhood days. (Yes, that was a long time ago. I know, I’m old!) Looney Tunes cartoons were so popular back then! I used to watch them on Cartoon Network all the time. I remember when Tweety was practically everyone’s favorite cartoon character in my school. My former classmate owned a Tweety shirt and accidentally left it in the classroom. When she came back to look for it, it was gone! Days after, she saw one of the school’s maintenance personnel wearing it! It sounds funny but it just goes to show that back then, anything with Tweety on it was worth stealing!
Perhaps the reason why Tweety is so well-loved is because he/she (apparently, his/her gender is still unknown) is so cute and sweet. In fact, it is said that “Tweety”originally meant “sweetie”! With his/her big bright eyes and equally bright yellow color, he/she is like a little ball of sunshine.
This pair of leggings may be too kiddie for some, and not everyone would want to wear something with loud cartoon character prints. But if you’re feeling a little adventurous, this pair of leggings is totally wearable. It’s really just a matter of how you wear it and what you wear it with.
These leggings are so comfortable that you would even want to wear them to sleep! They’re made of a nice, snug, and cottony fabric that makes it just right for bed and bed weather.
